RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY – GOLFERS DIRECT
At Golfers Direct, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please review our Returns and Refunds Policy below.
1. 30-Day Returns Policy (New Items)
Golfers Direct offers a 30-day return window from the date of delivery or in-store collection. To qualify for a return:
- Goods must be unused.
- Goods must be in original condition.
- All packaging, tags, and accessories must be intact.
- Proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) is mandatory.
Refunds will be processed using the original payment method, excluding delivery or courier fees where applicable.
2. Return Methods
2.1 In-Store Returns Items purchased from Golfers Direct may be returned directly to our physical store. You must present your proof of purchase and the item in its original condition.
2.2 Courier Returns We can arrange a courier collection where applicable.
- The item must be securely packaged by the customer.
- Collection timelines are typically 2–5 working days.
- The refund is processed after inspection at our facility.
- Courier costs will be deducted from the final refund amount unless the return is due to a fault or error on our part.
3. Exchanges
Exchanges are permitted within 30 days, subject to stock availability.
- If the replacement item costs more, the client pays the difference.
- If the replacement item costs less, the difference will be issued as store credit.
4. Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene, customization, and usage reasons, the following items will not be accepted for return:
- Used or damaged goods (unless due to a manufacturing fault).
- Custom-fit or personalised equipment.
- Special order items.
- Gift cards or vouchers.
- Consumables (e.g., golf balls, tees, gloves) once opened.
- Apparel that has been worn or has the tags removed
5. Technology & Equipment (Golf Devices)
This section applies to GPS watches, launch monitors, swing analysis devices, and similar tech. Returns are allowed only if:
- The item is strictly unused.
- The packaging is sealed and undamaged.
- The device has not been registered or activated.
Opened or used devices will not be accepted for standard returns. They will be treated as warranty claims only and are subject to supplier inspection and approval.
6. Faulty or Defective Goods
In line with the South African Consumer Protection Act:
- Faulty goods may be returned within 6 months of purchase.
- The item must have been used for its intended purpose.
- A professional assessment will be conducted upon return.
- Depending on the outcome, resolution may include a repair, replacement, or refund.
Golfers Direct reserves the right to send items for supplier inspection before a final resolution is made.
7. Second-Hand / Trade-In Equipment
Where Golfers Direct facilitates second-hand or assisted sales:
- Items are sold "as-is" based on their stated condition.
- Any disputes regarding the condition or authenticity of the item must be raised within 48 hours of receipt.
- After the 48-hour window, all sales of second-hand items are final.
- In the event of a valid dispute within the 48-hour window, inspection and mediation (including potential store credit or refund) will be offered at management discretion.
8. Refund Processing
Once a return is approved:
- Refunds are processed within 3–7 working days.
- The exact timing depends on your banking or payment provider.
- If no valid proof of purchase is supplied, the refund will be declined (an exchange or store credit may be offered purely at management discretion).
